The Network will also boast the scientific involvement of 5 other academic institutions from across Canada: McGill University, University of Guelph, University of Montreal, University of Ottawa, and the University of Saskatoon.

NSERC awarded the Network with a five-year award (2008-2012) totaling almost $4.9 million. This amount was matched with cash and in-kind contributions from Network collaborators – Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Alberta Pork Board, Bioniche Animal Health Canada, Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Hypor Inc, JBS United Inc, L’Alliance Boviteq, Minitube of America, Nutreco, and PIC – bringing the amount of total support for EmbryoGENE to $8.9M.
